RR #21 for Central Illinois Greyhound Adoption
Congratulations to Susan Lundberg of Ellicott city, MD

We've mailed a check for $3500 today to CIGA!
This is our annual raffle for CIGA- a group who we admire enough to repeat the effort every year. CIGA isn't an adoption group per se, they exist primarily to move dogs to adoption groups from the Dubuque and Dairyland racetracks, and, specifically, to take in the broken legs, pay for the surgeries, foster throughout rehab, and then turn healthy greyhounds over to adoption groups to place- most often Greyhounds Only in Chicago.
Visit the Raffle Page for more pictures and information. Imagine each of last year's broken legs pictured (200 legs in 10 years!) multiplied by $2000-$3000 and you'll realize how deserving these folks are all year long!

RR #19: Almost Home For Hounds

Congratulations to Helen Dudick of "Leaving Tracks" in Atlanta, GA for helping us reach $1875 in ticket sales- we'll sent a check for $2000 to
Almost Home for Hounds
With the closing of the last of Colorado's greyhound racetracks, AHH has become a safe haven for the underdogs: the aged pets from farms, the broodies, the injured, and pups with no racing future. Currently, 30% of the population at AHH is over 7 years of age.
We hope you'll buy a ticket (or lots of them!), or contribute directly to AHH, or convince your adoption group to accept some of Dr. Weir's special needs greyhounds.
Special needs greyhounds have a special love to give....

RR #17: Guam Animals in Need (GAIN)

Congratulations to Michelle Caillet of Greyt Escapes in Tucson, AZ, for helping us reach $2905 in ticket sales- we'll sent a check for $3000 tomorrow to
Guam Animals In Need
Handed out to anyone who asked for them, or remaining in limbo at the track and GAIN's shelter, as many as 300 greyhounds need our help.
Those being picked up by GAIN volunteers are found abandoned, starved, and abused. We've just added happy pics of new arrivals to the US- worth a look!
Guam is a US territory. We are US citizens, and NCG feels compelled to take a stance for these greyhounds, helping as many as possible find loving homes, some here in the US.
Every dollar you spend in this raffle will assist the tireless and overburdened GAIN volunteers in caring for the greyhounds in Guam and helping to keep them safe.

Imagine impressing your Thanksgiving and Christmas guests with this 8" by 18" piece of art by Susan Lewis: "Table Runners"- a lineup of twenty of Ms. Lewis' colorful and creative greyhound characters designed to entertain both sides of your table!
And then, allow it's true value to warm your heart. 100% of funds earned by this raffle will help to stabilize the medical bank account of Greyhound Rescue and Rehab. Even with numerous fundraisers for Knuckles, bills remain to be paid and greyhounds like Paula and Blue with serious breaks continue arriving on their doorstep- these folks just can't say no.
Though a single $5 ticket will win this visual reminder for the winning family's Thanksgiving table, surely each one of us will be giving thanks that day for the selfless volunteers all over the country who do what GRR does for retiring racers. Consider making a Thanksgiving gesture by purchasing a ticket or make a direct contribution to GRR. You just might be rewarded with a valuable family heirloom.

Roundup was a contribution of earnings from GREYHOUNDS- The Book. Special thanks from the Irish greyhounds to ALL who purchased tickets! If you consider that each bejeweled link on this necklace and bracelet pair could represent an Irish Greyhound saved from death, abandonment or sale to Spanish breeders this year, and that your participation in this raffle helped that to happen, your heart will be warmed each time you wear it. Somebody has to win- it could be you!
This Holly Yashi necklace and bracelet are valued at $615 before the greyhounds were added just for this raffle. The greyhound adornments are sufficiently subtle and these pieces so unique, that your jewelry will be admired by everyone, whether or not you're in greyt company!

Send this link to your parents- maybe they'll win a trip to visit you! Feel free to share it with everyone you know- one doesn't have to be a greyhound owner to win an extravagant trip- or to want to help the broken leg greyhounds at Midwest Greyhound Adoption.
As always, every dollar spent on raffle tickets will be contributed to MGA, Northcoast Greyhounds will absorb all PayPal and Credit Card charges. Considering the number and severity of the broken leg greyhounds with which MGA is dealing, including G's Sweet Dedra, sister to the four brothers who survived the Iowa accident along with herself, MGA can use all the help we can offer.
