BD: Double Amber Featured Item!
 Bail to Bottom, this double amber pendant measures three full inches. The tone is typical dark amber, the silver is shiny, the inclusions are sparkly, and 8Ball appears to love his rectangular pillow!

Lacking Restraint II Featured Item!
 Last year, we sold a rectangular piece of this epidot in quartz by the same name (and price), and I admitted that sometimes I lack restraint in shopping. You'd think I was shopping just for myself! I guess I've gone and done it again.
I'm fascinated by this clear stone - notice you can see its plexiglass stand right through the quartz and the olive crystals within. It looks just like Davie's laying in the woods....
I took a second photograph so you could see Starborne's pretty double bezel setting for this 1.75" stone. The pendant measures 2.5" overall.
This would be Fine Jewelry even without Davie. Now its one really Fine Jewel!

MH: Mamma/Pappa/Baby Featured Item!
 Mamma Bear, Pappa Bear and Baby Bear- in both size and price ranges, these three pieces are from Marta Howell's new line of turquoise and spiny oyster combinations. The contrast is so striking that they're bound to draw attention!
There's a 1" map pin in the picture, but it will help to know that the largest pendant measures 2.75" from the top of its fixed bail to the bottom point.

Yellow Boulder Opal Featured Item!
 Boulder opal has become so popular that the trade shows offer many vendors. We found this one difficult to resist because of the brilliant colors snuggled within a yellow stone- a striking comparison!
Very nice setting, too- the top of the bezel loops over to create the bail and then reconnects to the back of the bezel.

8Ball
 8Ball is our Main Man- er...greyhound. Not only because he's so highly admired, but because his shape accommodates so many different uses. You'll see all three sizes of 8Ball often on our website, and an even tinier version as well - as in earring studs on this page.
The first, and original size is available as a charm, with a spring ring for affixing to your bracelet, and as the one shown here, with a fixed bail set perpendicularly to slide on a chain. He measures .75" from side to side. $35.
The center image of Large sized 8Ball is used on other jewelry pieces but we're no longer stocking as a broach. It can be special ordered for $50.
XL 8Ball is a highly noticeable piece, measuring 1.25" across. You'll see him mounted upon some stunningly large jewels, or all by himself as in this picture with both hidden tubular bail for wearing on a chain or pin for wearing as a broach. It was one of our customers who insisted he have both- an excellent idea, too! $85.

AC: Sweetness and Light
 We've just received some beautiful new "vintique" pieces from Anne Cook- this is the first of 11- all gorgeous and desirable!
This necklace is made with silk bows and flower, miscellaneous gemstone accents and vintage Chanel chain. The earrings are of silk bows and faceted quartz bead drops, hung from gold filled ear wires.
So intentionally matched, we're hoping they'll go together, but as usual, we'll allow for separate purchases.

AC: "Elements" Necklace
 Lots of little vintage bits and pieces adorn this 15" double strand necklace- even the clasp is an antique! A special feature: the double charm drop (silver with carved Mother Of Pearl flower and rutilated quartz teardrop) is removable so you can attach it to another necklace, or just choose to wear the pretty necklace by itself.
the 15" length is appropriate for holding the 3" drop up close to your neck, and allows it, when worn by itself, to show beneath a collar.

Acacia Designs: 32" Strand
 We were fascinated by these colorful strands at the San Francisco trade show- Acacia Creations does pretty much what NCCG does, only for African artisans. We've added Mikie on natural stones for you, so that if you purchase one of these necklaces, you're lending TWO helping hands!
From their card:
"Each of your beads is hand-rolled from recycled magazine paper by women in Uganda and western Kenya. they are then sealed with water-proof lacquer, brought to our workshops in Nairobi, Kenya and made into one-of-a-kind jewelry. This process provides income for many families in two countries and helps to keep paper from streets and landfills. Each item is crafted under fair trade conditions and a percentage of each sale is returned directly to our local artisans."

Albuquerque Ribbons
 Ribbons carry special meaning for friends of all species. We've added tiny 8Balls to the earrings and left the pendant as is, considering it might be a nice gift for a friend.

Albuquerque Trio

BD: 3 Level Amber
 I purchased several of these necklaces- each uniquely appealing - from Beata in San Francisco.
This one, featuring a 1.5" clear amber circle that is the tiniest bit convex, is adorned with Brynn on the center rectangle.

Cable Necklaces
 Multicolored strands of cable wire (20 of them!) combine to blend with almost any pendant you'd like to air with this necklace.
If you're bored with wearing all your pretty pendants on the same sterling chains, this is an alternative to everyday ho-hum.
Order in either 16" or 18".
To open (I had to figure this out!) push the two sides of the clasp together- towards one another, then twist and pull apart. To reclose, just put together and twist.

Circles
 Left: Brynn on Agate- Ordinarily, 8Ball is just made for circles, being a circle himself, that is.... but I love putting Brynn on these stones that look so much like landscapes. Is that a... a... beach? The stone is 1.25" in diameter, and the cut-out bail is another stand-out feature.
Center: The gold of these Black Lipped Mussel circles is particularly bright and shiny- as is 8Ball!
Right: Ah- the much sought-after Rainbow Jasper needs no more description than its name. (and that of Charles Albert, too)

FD: Zebra Jasper
 Frederic Duclos creates good jewelry with a modern bent and these zebra pieces are perfectly representative of his style.
We've turned one of the earrings over to show you the frame. The pendant is 3/8" in thickness and it's brushed metal frame backing becomes a tubular bail at the top. these are true modern classics.

Firefly 1
 A new company for us, Firefly creates these mosaic style jewels in Guatemala, employing the indigenous people of Santiago Atitlan. The company's introduction is interesting to read- especially with pictures of Ricky and Rocky, the "ever-vigilant terriers" (that don't look like terriers to me!)
In reorganizing, we've included a few pair of Joseph Brinton earrings among the fireflies. Yu'll want to look closely as you shop, some earrings have sterling 8Balls, and some are in bronze. Some earrings have wires and others have lever-backs.

Greys & Iggies
 Amazing- charms I hadn't seen before! Both the greyhound (1.125" tall) and the Italian Greyhound (.875" tall) are sizable charms and well formed- the bones as bails are an added touch of quality construction.
We've shown the greyhound on one of our heavier omega chains and added turquoise beads in two sizes, though either pendant would be a solo standout on snake chain or rubber cord. Considering the popularity of Pandora-type beads and charms, you may already have decor to add.

 I've been wondering why this very last pendant by designer Hadas Shaham remains in our file- probably because it hasn't been appearing on the website. DUH! An error on our part.
"Mediallian" has the same sterling design on the back (without 8Ball, of course) as it does on the front, set into Ms Shaham's trademark cement designs. Medallian is suspended from a 28" chain. Distinctive!

Labradorite- 3 times!
 Labradorite shimmers in butterfly-wing colors and flashes in the light. These three pieces are no exception.

No matter how you interpret it, some greyhound somewhere will benefit because Michele Foster's lovely pendant featuring "Runner" was purchased here. It's a win-win-win situation.
Including our usual 1" map pin for sizing just seemed to reduce the glamor of this extravagant pendant/broach, so here are some measurements:
The rectangular stone has 3-dimensional inclusions in a clear quartz backed with sterling, and measures 2.25" X .875" all by itself.
The entire pendant/broach, including it's curvy shell and citrine adornments, measures 3.5" in height and is 3" wide.

 Betty appears to be Swimming Against The Current on colorful ocean jasper in yet another magnificent piece of art by Michele Foster. Swirly shell and citrine in four different colors are all set in sterling.

MF: Double Jasper Artistry
 I've always said I'm a fan of nice clean geometrics rather than "free-form" shapes. But, then, I was referring to normal flat pendants - Michele Foster's jeweled sculptures are anything but normal!
Ms. Foster's vivid imagination lends entirely new meaning to the term "free-form". Her designs are fearless, with dips and swirls, flat and round surfaces- allowing the natural form of shell or stone to shape the design- sometimes standing components on end!
This piece, 3" from point to point, employs two forms of jasper with our medium sized "Dave" stretched across Ocean Jasper, his back legs sheltered beneath a shell sun-shade.
We just had to show you views from every angle! Whoops- I didn't photograph the back which would show you that this piece has both bail for hanging and pin for wearing as a broach.

Northcoast Dave
 "No! Dave", our first greyhound, won our hearts over to retired racers long ago and well deserved to represent Northcoast Greyhounds from our very beginnings.
Even longer ago, the original, more exotic version of this design from which our logo dog evolved, was created by Anita Gersch- we didn't even know it at the time and now, all these years later, Davie is still making new friends for us!
Toe to toe, Dave's sterling broach measures 2.5" in length and 1.25" in height.

Omega Chains (Heavy)
 For pendants with more size or weight than a "fine snake chain" can bear, either safely or aesthetically, here's a much better choice:
German engineered by Argent Pol, the closure has sterling male/female parts to appear as though there is no closure at all! These necklaces are as safe as they are attractive (not to mention easy to put on) and a must for the jewelry box of anyone who regularly wears "medium" sized pendants.
We've pictured 16, 17, and 18 inch lengths here with a pendant measuring approximately 1.75" square. Works nicely, doncha think?

Pink Mystic Quartz
 Mystic Quartz shimmers to reveal a hundred different shades within- this photograph brings out the most briliiant, though the overall effect is shocking pink- shockingly beautiful!
I'd seen Sarda's lovely designs on magazine pages in the past and even tried to contact them at one point to become a regular account - having seen them in person at the San Francisco show, perhaps this time I'll follow through!
The pendant measures 2" from the top of the bail, and the bracelet would be either 6.75", 7" or 7.5" depending upon which link you use.
this set is similar to one which sold recently- very quickly! so I contacted the company and ordered more pieces. This pendant has one, rather than two stones and the bracelet has a cluster arrangement rather than the strung out gems sen previously. The pink Mystic Topaz accents the pink of the conch shells beutifully!

Yurok Artistry
 Purchased at a Pow Wow at United Indian Health Services where Jerry worked before his retirement. I wish I'd written down the artist's name...
We have two pair of the earrings, only one necklace- for those who love long and dangly, this 4.5" pendant and matching 3.5" earrings will fill the bill!
Sterling with black freshwater pearl, the pieces were created locally (Humboldt) by Native Americans of the Yurok tribe. The multi-strand cable necklace coordinates so well we've included it.
